Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today with hearts full of hope and a deep longing for peace in our world. We may be young, but we understand the importance of unity, love, and harmony among all your children. In a world filled with turmoil, we seek your guidance and strength to be peacemakers.
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12.
Lord, we pray for the leaders of our nations, that they may be inspired by your wisdom to work together for the common good. May they choose dialogue over conflict, empathy over division, and compassion over hatred. Help them see the value of every human life and the need to protect and nurture the world you created.
But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. James 3:17.
We also pray for those who are suffering due to violence, poverty, and injustice. Give them strength and courage to endure, and may they find relief and comfort in your love. Grant us the wisdom to extend our hands to those in need, showing your love through our actions.
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. Matthew 25:35-36.
Lord, help us to be instruments of peace in our daily lives. Teach us to love our neighbors, even when they are different from us, and to forgive those who have wronged us. Show us the path of understanding and acceptance, so that we may be bridges of unity in our communities.
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Romans 12:18.
As young Christian girls, we ask for your guidance to live out the teachings of Jesus, who blessed the peacemakers. May we be shining examples of your love and grace, radiating kindness, patience, and empathy wherever we go.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Matthew 5:9.
Finally, Lord, we trust in your plan for our world. Though we may not see the way forward clearly, we have faith that your divine purpose includes peace for all. Give us the strength to be patient and to work tirelessly toward a world where your peace reigns.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27.
In Jesus' name, we pray.
Amen.
