Parents as teachers
As Christian parents it is essential that you teach your daughters about God.
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14.
All your children will be taught by the LORD, and great will be their peace. Isaiah 54:13.
Who is God?
God is the supreme being, the creator of the universe, and the source of all life.
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1.
Who is Jesus?
She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus because he will save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21.
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14.
Simon Peter answered, You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God. Matthew 16:16.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16.
The angel said to the women, Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Matthew 28:5-6.
What is Salvation?
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8.
What is Heaven?
But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body. Philippians 3:20-21.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy, he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you. 1 Peter 1:3-4.
