In the world of social media, likes, followers, and the influence of online personalities can have a significant impact on how we perceive ourselves and our worth. Many influencers promote materialism and consumerism. Remember that true worth comes from godliness and contentment, not from material possessions. For Christian girls, it's important to find our true identity and value in Christ. Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm. Proverbs 13:20.
Many social media influencers use unrealistic images and popular ideas not grounded in faith to gain followers. Joining and then seeking approval from these on-line groups promotes earthly comparisons. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. Colossians 3:2. Instead of comparing yourself to others, focus on your unique qualities and the gifts God has given you. Remember that your worth is found in Christ, not in the number of likes on a post or the number of on-line groups you join.
Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ. Galatians 1:10.
